Redblue in Mind

Shadows sleep within the pathways of my mind
As my iris falls flat on the surface of my head
Blurring names with faces in the darkness behind
Trying to spin back to the place it was bred

Red and blue lights flood my deepest thoughts
Repainting the shadowed past that never moves
Each color transforms the memory I fought
Sketching familiar shades that briefly soothe

My twisting paths bend in ways often deceived
And to things created in a backward cognition
The quick nerves chase but never perceive
Their lights sifted through a winding submission

The synapse web holds everything I know
Retelling each name a thousand times
Repainting the world with a red and blue glow
And rebirthing old faces falsely defined
